After more than eight years of dedicated service, Todd Pousley has stepped out of his role as Director of Community Development at NeighborWorks.
Todd joined NeighborWorks with a vision for building stronger, more vibrant communities throughout northeastern Pennsylvania. He spent the past eight years building up our community development program and leading efforts to improve communities throughout our region.
During his time at NeighborWorks, Todd accomplished so much, including:
- Helping launch our Aging in Place program and completing the organization’s first home modification project for a senior
- Building the Community Development program from the ground up, growing the team to four full-time staff members with an annual budget exceeding $1 million
- Spearheading the development and implementation of comprehensive 10-year neighborhood revitalization plans in West Scranton and Carbondale
- Leading residents in the creation of a five-year strategy to revitalize downtown Carbondale
- Helping to launch and expand our popular Beautiful Blocks home improvement grant program to three communities, providing more than $1 million in funding for 950 projects over the past seven years
- Raising more than $8 million in grants and contributions to support community development initiatives
- Serving as chair of the Scranton City Planning Commission, the Lackawanna County Housing Coalition and the Lackawanna County Land Bank Advisory Committee, as well as a board member of the PA Downtown Center and Route 6 Alliance
Todd’s leadership, collaborative spirit and deep belief in community-driven change have left a lasting impact on NeighborWorks and the neighborhoods we serve.
We’re excited to share that Todd has begun a new chapter as Economic Development Director for the City of Carbondale. In addition to his role with the city, he will serve as Executive Director of the Greater Carbondale Community Development Corporation.
The entire NeighborWorks team extends our heartfelt thanks to Todd for his years of dedication, leadership, and impact. While we’ll miss working alongside him every day, we’re thrilled to see him take this next step and know he’ll continue to make a meaningful difference for years to come.
