Homebuyer Assistance Programs
Our Homebuyer Assistance Programs offer qualified homebuyers funds to help with down payment and closing costs:
- Applications for the City of Scranton, the City of Carbondale and Lackawanna County are processed through NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania.
- Not purchasing in these areas? Your HUD-Certified Housing Counselors at NeighborWorks can connect you with other programs based on your unique needs.
- The first step to accessing any funding is to complete a Homebuyer Education course and meet with one of our HUD-Certified Housing Counselors. View our events calendar to find and register for an upcoming homebuyer workshop.
- If you prefer online, click here to access our virtual homebuyer education course for a fee. Contact our office at 570-558-2490 to learn about discount codes or ways to make this course free.
- Applications are given after you have completed both education and a one-on-one meeting with a counselor. Click here to learn more about our one-on-one sessions.
